Spilled a full glass of water on the bed last night and the duvet stayed completely dry underneath—that spill shield really earns its keep. The fabric also feels quieter than other protectors I've tried, so no crinkly noises when I turn over.

The waterproof layer actually works—I tested it by pouring a glass of water right on the surface and it just beaded up and rolled off, leaving the duvet underneath completely dry. It's also surprisingly quiet and doesn't crinkle when I move around in bed, which was my biggest worry.
